4 Tips for Training an Obedient Alaskan Malamute

Alaska is located in northwest of the United States, and it borders on Canada. For people who are living in mountains, it is necessary to have an Alaskan Malamute. The question is how to train an obedient and loyal Alaskan Malamute. I will give 5 tips for it.

Tip1 doing exercises

You should enroll him in an obedience training class so you can find out how to handle him and get him started on obedient commands. He is fond of lots of exercises, so if you are not doing anything to let him release that energy you are going to have problems. I walk my dog in the morning and then let him run around my yard most of the day. I then take him to the dog park for about an hour.

Tip2 socializing with other animals and people

It is critical to expose him to different kinds of animals and individuals when he is still a puppy. Even though he may be quite stubborn sometimes, he still shows love for his master and other acquaintances. Helping him familiarize with small animals such as cats and birds would make him becoming friendlier to your other household pets.

Tip3 being confidence and authoritative

If owners do not have enough confidence and authoritative in front of Alaskan Malamute, they will not putting their plans into action. In addition, a strong will Alaskan Malamute would never listen to a voice quivering with uncertainty and lack of authority.

Tip4 being patient

Training Alaskan Malamute puppy is quite like teaching children, so owners should be patient. Give lots of encouragement and praise when training him and start every lesson with reviewing what he already knew. It is necessary to practice three times a day, and thus Alaskan Malamute can remember what he has learned.
